Etymology · why the name

Drawn from mukkodi — 1021.

The ancient Tamil numbering system names mukkodi (முக்கோடி) for the value 10²¹— one sextillion. It's a reminder that Indian mathematics has always scaled. The name carries the ambition; the architecture earns it.

Apache 2.0 and MIT — by policy, for our foundation weights. No Llama, GPT, or Claude weights anywhere in our inference plane. One legacy distilled adapter (sentiment_analyzer) is mid-replacement with a clean Apache-2.0 redistillation.

What we will not build

Six things you'll never see in Mukodi.

Restraint is a feature. Every claim Mukodi prints points back to a marketing-safe-claims matrix. If it's not there, we don't ship it — even if the technology would technically allow it.

  • Personalized model weights. (Memory + retrieval are personalised. Weights are not.)
  • Differential privacy as a claim. (Library exists. Wiring does not.)
  • Goddess-named helpers by default. (Theme exists; opt-in only; never for minors.)
  • Auto-cancel of subscriptions. (False-positive class on bereavement and parasocial retention.)
  • Streaks, leaderboards, point-date predictions. (Gambling-pattern adjacent.)
  • "Upload" as the verb. (Read it instead as: a thing entering your house.)

Nilfee Fintech Private Limited is the Indian private-limited company that operates it — the legal entity on every invoice, every data processing agreement, every regulatory filing. The AI model at the centre of the house is internally called FinAi.
